Rick Heller, DVM Owner

Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Dr. Heller attended the University of Colorado and received his undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in 1977. With strong interest in world travel, Dr. Heller went to Torino, Italy where he attended Veterinary school and received his Doctor of Medicine degree. While in Europe, he traveled extensively and met his wife, Helen. Dr. Heller joined the staff at The Huron Animal Hospital in 1988 and developed such a positive and long lasting relationship with his clients that he decided to purchase and become owner in 1996.
Dogs and cats are not the only pets Dr. Heller enjoys working with, he also enjoys pocket pets, birds, reptiles and many other "exotic" species. During his spare time, Dr. Heller enjoys skiing, biking and walking with his wife and two children Tasha and Tazio. Attending Tasha's and Tazio's numerous sport activities is another passion of Dr. Heller's. When speaking of the Heller household, one can't forget the three great felines that were strays and brought into the hospital needing medical care and a loving home. Their names are Mia, Baci and Cleo.

Professionally Dr. Grossinger has an interest in feline medicine in particular and enjoys working up the difficult cat case!
In here spare time you might meet her running on the Dry Creek Trail or climbing a 14er with her dog Nybble. He's a young, exuberant Jack Russell Terrier that likes spending the day making our Day Care and Boarding dogs feel right at home.
